In a video posted on his timeline a few hours ago, Gentle is talking about the incident and introduces three people, including Yaseer’s mother, brother and his friend.

He said Yaseer should get justice and accused should be arrested as soon as possible. Pray for the recovery of Yaseer, he said, adding that he clicked the video from AIIMS.

Yaseer’s brother Yawar Saifi told the OT over phone from AIIMs that we don’t know who stabbed him. “We got a call explaining about the incident and then we reached Batla House and brought him to AIIMS where he was operated upon and his condition is critical,” he said.

Yaseer is electrician. The reason behind the attack is not known and probe is on.

Gentle said the incident has taken place only a few days after lynching of Talib Samadani, 25. Talib was killed in fight over gulli danda. He was rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Arrests were made and FIR lodged, police had said in a statement issued to the media.

Residents had expressed their anger over rising crime in the locality and even took out candle march seeking justice for Talib. Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan, who gave Rs 5 lakh compensation and job to the kin of Talib, had come under opposition attack for not speaking out over the issue for days and posting not condolence message for the family on social media.
