Since the start of the sewer construction all over Abul Fazal Enclave, some residents said they have been facing water crisis. Till now the residents of D-block AFE part 1 said they were getting ground water from boring done by the local authority but after sewer laying work some pipes developed snag leading to water problem for them.

“The pipelines were removed and were never put back. This problem started around February and it is the same since then. The authorities should have been considerate to at least think of how people are going to survive without water and should have prepared better. On top of that, after the sewer construction was completed in our street (D) block, they did not reattach the pipeline,” said a resident.

“We even paid from our pockets for the water pipeline connection, which was supposedly a government job. There was no one in charge of these things and the people working refused to hear us. It is okay to have patience once in a while when a construction on such large scale is taking place. But April is about to end in a day and we haven’t had any luck with the water problem,” said Azra Jabin.

We all have been waiting patiently for help to arrive which never came and the motors in and around our area are adequate enough to supply water to our building and they keep breaking down every other day, said, a resident of D-Block in Abul Fazal Phase -1.
