Wall of Honour coming up in Sarita Vihar

After making an appeal on January 22, 2022 regarding Sarita Vihar Councillor Neetu Manish Chaudhary’s plan to honour guardians in uniform by building Wall of Honour in Sarita Vihar, the residents have responded to it and work for it is to begin soon.

South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) said it has received about 180 names from residents of Jasola Vihar, Okhla Vihar, Sarita Vihar, Noor Colony, Ajmal Baagh, Mujeeb Baagh, Gaffar Manzil, Taimur Nagar, New Friends’ Colony and other areas, reported Indian Express.

“Step is being taken by our Councillor Neetu Manish Chaudhary to honour our security force personnel. The Wall of Honour will have all the names of the ones who have served (retired) and the ones who have made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

“You all are requested to share the names of such bravehearts who are a part of your lives and families with your address and contact numbers on any of the following numbers,” Team Manish Chaudhary had appealed with the OT also receiving a WhatsApp message in the end of January.

The Wall of Honour in Sarita Vihar is to be built by the SDMC soon to pay tribute to martyred security force personnel.

Nitu’s husband, Manish Chaudhary, said local residents have shared names of local residents of the ward who have sacrificed their lives for the nation.
