Dr. Ufana Riaz has been working on the synthesis of nanostructured polymeric materials via green route since 2008. She has innovatively used microwave synthesis for solid state polymerization to design composite materials with remarkable opto-electronic properties by completely avoiding any toxic solvent. Her notable contribution is in using these hybrid materials for the rapid photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants in waste water remediation with minimum production of toxic by-products. By now she has published more than 100 research papers in the field of green technology.
