Tika Utsav observed at all SDMC Covid vaccination  centres

Tika Utsav was observed by the Civic Agencies at Covid Vaccination Centres (CVCs) today, which was attended by SDMC Mayor Anamika and Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Rambir Singh Bidhuri.

Both Mayor and Leader of Opposition participated in Tika Utsav at a CVC located at Badarpur Bordet as the programme is being observed after Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked to observe it between April 11 and April 14.

They also welcomed people who had come at centre for vaccination. Flowers, packets of juice, masks, etc were also given to people turned up for vaccination.

Anamika, on the occasion, said the Prime Minister has asked to observe the Tika Utsav from April 11 which is the birth anniversary of Great Social Activist and Reformer Jyotirao Phule to April 14 which is the birth anniversary Chief Architect of the the Indian Constitution Babasaheb Ambedkar.

She said the motive of organising the programme is to attract and encourage more and more people who have attained the age of 45 years for vaccination.

Mayor said the programme is being observed at all vaccination centres of the SDMC. She appealed all SDMC councillors to encourage people for vaccination drive.
