Tahsin Usmani, Span Urdu journalist, Okhla-based Jamia alumnus, passes away at 49

Okhla-based Jamia Millia Islamia alumnus Tahsin Usmani, who was working with Span Urdu, died in Abul Fazal Enclave, a day ago after days of hospitalisation.

He completed his studies in Urdu from Jamia Millia Islamia. Tahsin Usmani worked with Shahid Siddique and later moved on to other Urdu publications.

It was a few years ago when Tahsin Usmani joined Span Urdu and since then has been working with the magazine as sub-editor. He was very friendly and hard working always ready to help the needy.

When the OT called Tahsin Usmani’s brother in Bihar, the grief stricken family member said they are not in a position to talk and would get back later on.
