When the resignation letter of Mohammad Tarique (Deputy Director of RCA) started circulating on the social media, the OT contacted him to find out whether the content of the letter is real. “Yes, I have resigned,’ he said.

When asked the reason behind resigning, he said: “I will share more details with you soon.” Once the OT receives it the details will be updated here.

The RCA was in the limelight recently when Shruti Sharma, who was preparing from here, got an All India Rank of 1 in the UPSC Civil Service Examinations. Some 23 candidates from RCA cracked the examinations the same year.

Ever since its inception RCA has produced more than 245 Civil Servants and 376 in other Central and State Services including many All India rankers, like Junaid Ahmad (AIR3) and Faiz Aquil Ahmad (AIR-17).

RCA provides free coaching and training to the underprivileged students with 24×7 library facility and an ecosystem which is one of the best in the country for aspirants of the Civil Services and other competitive examinations.

It was in 1984 when the Centre for Coaching and Career Planning was set up in Jamia. And then in 2010 when IAS Najeeb Jung was the vice-chancellor of Jamia he started the RCA meant exclusively for civil service examinations under a University Grants Commission (UGC) scheme.

And since then Tarique, a history Professor, was associated with it.

Trique had good idea of civil service as during his university days, he studied at the Centre for Coaching and Career Planning preparing for the IAS exams. Those aware of the development said it is a big blow to the RCA as Tarique was an experienced hand and was always at the forefront in guiding students in the right direction, completely dedicated to the cause of the RCA.
