If complaint is there then an enquiry should be held, he said.

The complaint copy doing the rounds in the virtual world carrying signature of Mahmood Anwar of AIMIM reads: “This is to bring to your kind attention towards the ongoing sewer construction work in Abul Fazal Enclave which is being carried out by Flood and Irrigation Department.

“I, Mahmood Anwar, resident of Abul Fazal Enclave, want to draw your attention to the ongoing sewer construction work in AFE which is being carried out by the Flood Irrigation Department. The construction of sewer is being done without any base/leveling and joint plaster. Most of the time the site engineer is absent and only unskilled labourers are present at the site who know nothing about their work.

“The drainage water from the newly constructed gutters is leaking into the submersible which supplies water into the locality which is causing serious health problems to the residents.

“I request you to intervene in this matter on high priority and set an enquiry. I also request you to stop their payment till audit enquiry gets complete…,” wrote Anwar.

The OT called Okhla AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan to get his point of view over the issue but he didn’t pick up the phone. Once he reverts back his version on the issue will be updated here.
