Maulana Azad School for children with special needs and socially excluded has announced the acquisition of additional new building on the 3rd floor of the existing building of the school in the ground floor  at a function where teachers, students, their parents and local residents were present.

The school was started under the aegis of Being a woman an all India NGO working in Abul Fazal Enclave-1, D Block, said BAW general secretary of Fareena Samad.

“We did start from 10 students and grew over year. Currently we have 60 students, including physically handicapped. For the last one year the school strived hard to get a bigger space. And our dream was fulfilled with support from the Aligarh Education Endowment Fund (AEEF),” said Fareena.

Shahid Jameel, president of India Wisdom Foundation, inaugurated our school premises on rent in the same building on the 3rd floor which is fully furnished for the school needs, she said.

“The school thanks AEF for their generous cooperation,” she said.

Professor Abdul Mateen is president and Ataur Rahman the Treasurer of the NGO which was established in 2011.
