Naeem Khan dies of heart attack

A heart patient for many years, Naeem Khan was, as always, diligently attending to work at Shoaib Danish’s office when he suddenly began experiencing breathing difficulties, said Wajid Khan. Those present rushed to his aid and immediately took him to Holy Family Hospital. On the way, his condition worsened noticeably. At the hospital, doctors made every effort to revive him, placing him on a ventilator in a bid to stabilise him. But despite several hours of intensive care, he could not be saved. Doctors declared him dead around 12:30 am on Sunday, leaving his family, friends, and colleagues heartbroken and in deep sorrow.

Born and raised in Kakrala, Badaun in Uttar Pradesh, Naeem Khan moved to Delhi 25 years ago in search of better opportunities. Over the next two and a half decades, he became far more than just an employee as he was seen as a pillar of strength and support to everyone he worked with, consistently going beyond the call of duty to ensure everything ran smoothly.

“Naeem Khan was more than just a colleague to Shoaib Danish, the three-time Congress Councillor of Zakir Nagar. Their bond of friendship grew stronger over time as Naeem Khan began managing his office work, forging a relationship that lasted decades, a bond that was finally broken only by his untimely death on Sunday,” said Wajid Khan, a long-time team member of the Councillor. The current Councillor is Nazia Danish, wife of Shoaib Danish.

“Our office’s beloved Naeem Bhai passed away today due to a heart attack. (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un, Surely we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.) He was a resident of Badaun. His burial will take place in his hometown. May Allah forgive him and make things easy for him in the Hereafter. May Allah grant patience to his family. (Ameen.),” she said.

Shoaib Danish said in a brief statement: “We regret to announce the passing of Naeem Khan on Sunday night.”

Fondly known to many as Naeem bhai, he was widely admired for his humility, discipline, and remarkable ability to connect with people, leaving an indelible impression on everyone he met.

Naeem Khan to be laid to rest in Kakrala, Badaun

He completed his education in Aligarh Muslim University before moving to Delhi to build his career and raise his family. Even after spending so many years in the capital, his heart always remained tied to his roots in Badaun, which he often spoke of with great affection. His final journey will now take him back to his hometown, where he will be laid to rest among his own people.

Friends and family have already begun gathering in Kakrala, Badaun, to offer their last respects. His funeral prayers will be held later today, followed by his burial. He will be fondly remembered by all who were fortunate to know him. Many from Okhla, including Shoaib Danish, have also left for Badaun.

Tributes poured in on social media

Naeem Khan is survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter. His elder son has established himself in the field of modeling, while his younger son, who is still a minor, is pursuing his education. His daughter, who shared a close bond with him, now faces an irreplaceable void in her life.

Colleagues and friends alike remember him as a man who was not only reliable but also exceptionally kind-hearted,  someone you could trust, who carried out his duties with utmost sincerity, and who treated everyone with respect. “He was not just a PA; he was like a brother, a true friend who always stood by us in every situation,” said a close associate of Shoaib Danish.
