Nusrat Ali, former vice president of Jammat-e-Islami (Hind) who was undergoing treatment at Al Shifa Hospital, is no more, according to Syed Ubaidur Rahman.

A few days ago an appeal was floated on the social media regarding urgent need of Plasma for him which was also updated by the OT.

“Need urgent Plasma (Delhi). Patient Name: Nusrat Ali. Age: 65 y/M. Blood group:  AB Positive. Hospital: Alshifa Multispecialty Hospital. Urgent help please. Date: 25/04/2021,” read the SOS message.

Nusrat Ali, chairman, Markazi Taaleemi Council, JIH is no more, wrote senior journalist AU Asif.

“He breathed his last of at Al-Shifa wherein he was admitted for over a fortnight. Hailing from Merut, he was an ideologue, scholar and eminent leader of JIH. Earlier he served as UP State Jamaat chief and in other capacities. He was also a member of Jamaat’s Central advisory and consultative bodies.

“Besides a member of AIMPLB’s working committee, his role as an expert on education affairs would always be cherished. His passing away is a great blow to the Islamic movement,” wrote AU Asif.
