Since then residents have been waiting for the isolation centre to get operational. And their wait is over as words have spread in the locality that the centre is now operational.

Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan told the OT over phone that the 40-bed centre is functional now. When asked whether the Waqf Board is looking after it, he said as an MLA we are managing it and Waqf Board is also involved as I am the chairman.

AAP local leader Innayat told the OT over phone that initial treatment will be provided to Covid patients in the centre.

The oxygen facility will be managed by Johri Farm RWAs, he said.

Efforts to get response from Johri Farm RWAs have yielded no results. Once the OT gets their version it will be updated here.
