Dr Mohammad Naquibur Rahman, Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing, College of Business and Economics, Umm Al Qura University, Makkah Al Mukarramah, Saudi Arabia, has received the Indo Middle East Academic Excellence Award for the Best Marketing Professor in the category of marketing management for his high-quality performance in the field of teaching and research.

He was honoured with the award at the UAE International Conference organised by the Global Research Forum 2023 at IDM International University, Sharjah, during 19-20 November 2023.

The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Amitabh Upadhya, President of IDM International University, Sharjah.
The conference provided a dynamic platform for high-thinking leaders, rich in academic and industry expertise, and paradigm shift-oriented scholars to explore the intricacies of sustainable growth.

During the conference, discussions were explored into economic uncertainties, regulatory landscapes, and societal expectations, emphasising the need for responsible and enduring overall growth of society.

Dr. Mohammad Naquib addressed the students, urging them to focus on gaining the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to achieve learning outcomes and to gain employment and/or advance in their selected career fields.

He emphasised that the students must grow their professional knowledge and develop self-confidence to face the neck-to-neck market challenges. In this same conference, he presented a paper titled “Impact of Emerging Trends and Socio-economic Factors on Saudi Arabian Consumer Behavior”.

He has published a number of research articles in the fields of marketing and retail management extensively, which have been indexed in Scopus and Web Science journals.

Mohammad Naquibur Rahman earned a Master’s of Business Administration, majoring in Marketing, an LLB in Business Law, PGJMC, and a PhD in Advertising.

Before entering academia, he worked for Pepsi and Coca Cola in India, Al-Marai Milk and Aujan Coca Cola Beverages Ltd. in Saudi Arabia & Yemen.

He also served as a marketing adviser to Sadafco Milk Company in Saudi Arabia. His initial education started in his native village Solra, Gaya.
