He said his brother Md Talah Shadab Khan, 58, was a heart patient and on September 5 he was returning from his office and stopped at Julaina to purchase medicines.

“It was here that he fell and was unconscious. His driver sitting in the car saw him and rushed to help him. He was immediately taken to Holy Family Hospital for treatment. But he couldn’t recover. Doctors tried their best but he never regained consciousness. We are on our way to Ghazipur, our hometown,” said Haris.

Born in Ghazipur, Khan studied in the city and then later on went on to study engineering in Aligarh Muslim University. Later on he worked in Saudi Arabia and other cities of the Middle East.

After returning from overseas, he settled down in Shaheen Bagh with his family.

He has left behind three sons and wife, said Haris.
