Hundreds of Okhla residents gathered in Batla House on Saturday to bid tearful adieu to class 12th student shot dead in Batla House on Friday. After the body reached after post-mortem, family members laid the 17-year-old boy of Azeem Dairy in Batla House graveyard after asar prayer, said residents, adding that last number of residents were present in the last journey to the graveyard.

Police has started probe to arrest the accused.

A PCR call regarding gunshot injury to a boy in Azeem dairy & victim has been taken to Holy Family Hospital was received in PS Jamia Nagar, said the police on Friday.

“In Holy Family Hospital, Asif (brother of victim) resident of Azeem Dairy, Jamia Nagar, was found present, who stated that he was present inside his house. He came out and found that his younger brother Mohd Abdula was lying injured on the road. He took his brother to Holy Family Hospital, where doctor declared him dead. Deceased is student of 12th Class. People residing nearby have been examined and legal action is being taken accordingly,” said the police.
