He said when he tried to find out the reason behind the sudden power cut in his locality this morning he was informed that maintenance work is going on.

With summer peak yet to arrive, for many residents the development is not a good sign as they fear that in coming days power situation might deteriorate.

Johri Farm resident Aseem told the OT that many residents, with no inverter, are certainly left to sweat as temperature in Delhi is rising. Moreover, the maintenance work is good thing for summer peak preparation but it should be done by informing the residents so that they can arrange their daily chores accordingly otherwise life comes to a standstill with power cut that too without providing information in advance, he said

Power cut at a time when temperature is increasing is not a good thing, said another resident. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast for Tuesday, the maximum temperature is likely to settle at 40 degrees Celsius, and heatwave conditions are on.
