Jamia Cooperative Bank (JCB) has provided helping hand to 22 girl students of a Noor Nagar Government school in Okhla who had cracked NEET exam but due to their financial status they couldn’t take admission in any medical institute.

When the results were announced months ago, there was jubilation in Okhla when reports had surfaced with the OT also reporting about it that how 23 students of a government school Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Noor Nagar, had succeeded in qualifying NEET exam.

However, their celebration was shortlived as their families were unable to bear their education.

It was then that JCB chairman Mirza Qamarul Hasan Beg stepped in and promised to help the students. He told the OT that the bank has decided to fund coaching of some deserving students among them with Aakash Institute that next year they could score high numbers and get admission in government colleges.

“Ten girl students have been sponsored in Aakash. We are going to sponsor other 10 students from Jamia National Foundation,” he said.
