Interview and address of Mohammed Wajihuddin, the author of recently released book “Aligarh Muslim University: The making of modern Indian Muslim” launched at Constitution Club of India in New Delhi on Saturday.
This book is also to atone for the tears that I, then 15 or 16, shed at Aligarh railway station as I returned from AMU empty-handed, devastated, dejected, said Wajihuddin is an alumnus of AMU and Senior Assistant Editor of the Times Of India (Mumbai).
Around 100 or so people turned up at the launch of the book. Salman Khurshid, Syeda Saiyadain Hameed, former president of AMU Students’ Union and ex-MP (Rajya Sabha) Mohammed Adeeb, Lt General Zameer Uddin Shah, an ex-VC of AMU, political scientist Dr Mujibur Rahman and Professor Akhtarul Wasey addressed the audience.
