Beloved Jamia school teacher Ikram retires after 19 years

After serving Jamia School for 19 years and teaching Arabic, teacher Ikram Ul Haque retired from Syed Abid Hussain senior secondary school, self finance, a few days ago.

Many teachers gathered at school to give farewell to Ikram’s retirement wishing him best of luck and some even posting his photos of the last day at the school on the social media.

Ikram originally from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh came to Jamia Millia Islamia years ago to study BA Honours in Arabic from the university after finishing his studies from a local madarsa in his State. After graduating, he went to do MA and PhD from Jamia and after which he got a job as a junior commissioned officer as a religious teacher in the Indian Army.

But after some years, he said he left the job realizing that he was made up for teaching job. In 1991 he joined Jamia School as a PGT Arabic teacher till his retirement day.

He resides in Jamia Nagar with is three children and a wife.
