Delhi’s 2nd largest mosque with the capacity to accommodate around 10 thousand namazis at a time is all ready for the people of Okhla, according to residents.

The work for the mosque in Dawat Nagar, Abul Fazal Enclave on the Jamaat-E-Islami (Hind) campus, which was started in 2018 is about to be completed and chances are that the grand mosque will be open for namazis sooner or later, said mosque watchers in Okhla.

Whether the mosque as pointed by one office bearer on the condition of anonymity years ago that after expansion it will be Delhi’s second largest mosque is yet to be officially confirmed with some debating that not to be the case.

The exact cost of the mosque is not known but according to sources it is an expensive mosque as the old mosque’s area has been expanded further so that to adjust more namazis on Friday.

On Wednesday, workers were seen giving final touch to the minar of the mosque giving a gold colour coating with the building getting white colour.
