“You may contact our volunteers on the given numbers. 9560249879, 9555860317 and 9895416232. We take orders till 3 pm and then the food is supplied to us from another organisation (Taiba Heritage) from Nizamuddin,” he said, adding that he gets help from other students too.

There are others too who are at the forefront of this drive to provide free food to Covid patients. Of them student Mohammad Aman Qurashi is one. With monetary help from friends and known people, he said he is supplying meals to 20-25 people every day in his neighbourhood.

“I provide a basic menu—chapati, daal and rice. I collect parcels and deliver them on my motorcycle to the Covid patients in need,” said Qurashi, who is from Darjeeling, reported the IE.

“I am living alone in Delhi. Therefore, I understand how difficult it is to arrange food. This becomes more difficult when you are in isolation and down with Covid. I started this initiative and now my friends and other residents are extending help,” he said.

Vikram Mittal and others are also serving only Covid-affected people at different locations in Delhi.
