In the video, the victim is heard accusing Abul Fazal Enclave Councillor Wajid Khan to be behind the whole episode. However, Wajid said it is all staged by the people who are accusing him. He told the OT over phone that when he returns to Delhi he will talk on the issue and said he has full faith in the probe.

The firing issue sparked political debate with former Congress MLA Asif Md Khan claiming it to be result of internal fight in the Okhla AAP, a claim that the OT could not verify. Asif told the OT over phone that all people in the locality are aware of the firing incident. In several videos doing the rounds on the social media, Asif can be heard making some serious allegations against Okhla AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and other leaders.

The OT is not sharing the videos here as Asif’s claims couldn’t be verified.

When contacted, Amanatullah declined to speak over phone about Asif allegations made against him on social media.

Congress youth leader Engineer Hidatullah (Gentle) said he met with the victim on Friday morning to find out about the incident. “It is a sad development,” he said.

Gentle said had Wajid been “punished” for his act of allegedly assaulting a teacher in 2017, this incident could have never happened. Then reports had surfaced in the national media about that incident. In that year, Wajid had denied all the charges and said there was only heated argument between them, The Pioneer had reported then.

Since Friday morning the issue has been talk of Okhla with some politicians blaming each other for the firing.

Probe is on.

The root cause behind the alleged fight is said to be dispute over property of IOS chairman Dr Manzoor Alam in Abul Fazal Enclave, said sources.
