Proud moment for Shaheen Bagh! Farhaan’s achievement will warm your heart

Farhan Hasib of Shaheen Bag has made it big in professional MMA fight. The 19-year-old Hasib, who practiced boxing & kick boxing under GM Tanveer Chaudhary participated in Professional MMA Fight today at TalKatora Stadium and defeated his opponent of Assam State in the light weight category (68kg).

Tanveer Chaudhary told the OT that Hasib was a bright student and always focused on his game and study.

“It is a proud moment for not only Okhla, but for me as well. I am delighted to know that he has made it big in professional MMA fights at Talkatora stadium. His achievement at just 19 will certainly inspire other youngsters in the locality,” said Chaudhary.

A Jamia Millia Islamia alumnus, Chaudhary is a boxing and MMA coach and for years he has been guiding youngsters with some of his students shining in school and national competitions.
Chaudhary is credited for introducing MMA in Okhla with the game now gaining popularity in India.

According to Chaudhary, old days are gone when MMA was new.

“Now, many youngsters are taking part in MMA and showing interest. And some youngsters, like Hasib, have even made it big. I want that more and more of my students take part in national events so that they get exposure and learn more about how to win big championships and make the locality proud of themselves,” said Chaudhary.
