Ecobricks wall with plastic bottles built to encourage people to avoid single use plastic

South Delhi Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with Eco Wings and SSIL, has constructed an ecobricks wall using plastic bottles in the Saket area.

Ecobricks wall was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner of South Zone Dr Ankita  Chakravarty.

“This beautiful wall has been constructed with plastic bottles lying unattended. Through this wall, SDMC has given a message not to use Single Use Plastic (SUP),” it said.

An awareness campaign ‘Spit Free India Campaign’ was also started against spitting in the South Zone.

The campaign was kicked off from DLF Avenue Mall, Saket to Madangir village. A puppet show to raise awareness about sanitation and medical problems of spitting was organised in Madangir clusters, it said.

Madangir children gave a talk about the disease caused by spitting and pledges were taken to stop spitting, it said.
