Doctor by profession, Muhammad Fakhruddin, born in 1958 in Hyderabad, was a philanthropist who headed MESCO and ran several institutions for the uplift of Muslims across India. He did medicine and did masters (MD) in Anaesthology from Tata Memorial Hospital, University of Mumbai.

Also, he was an educationist. He helped several Muslim organisations and people financially and like many had a dream of running a media house to cover Muslim issues. He strongly believed that it was only through education that Muslims can be uplifted.

“It is a time of great suffering, man is very helpless, O Allah have mercy. He was founder of MESCO Hyderabad and active member of IICC and many organisations of welfare and social organisations. My loving brother and mentor Dr Muhammad Fakhruddin Hyderabad passed away after a short illness,” wrote Hafeez, adding that he was around 57-58 years old.

“Dr Fakhruddin’s death is a loss to the community as well as my personal loss because he was a guardian for me,” he wrote. Dr Fakhruddin was regular at Okhla and years ago he unsuccessfully contested an election at IICC.
