Despite this, as his phone rings, Dr Faiz,MBBS, MD (Medicine) and Consultant Physician, picks up and talks with the caller most probably a resident.

Dr Faiz is calm on phone and after the patient’s relative finishes his conversation, he suggests him to go for RT-PCR test.

This not the first incident as many residents told the OT that Dr Faiz is easily available on phone and giving consultation for free to residents something which came as a surprise for many in this time of pandemic.

He has helped scores of Covid patients, said Syed Hashmi over phone. “Dr Faiz is doing wonderful job. You give him a call and he picks up phone and talks to you. He guides you in the right direction,” he said.

This gives a balmy impact to person infected with Covid-19 and their relatives. Dr Faiz area of e expertise is infectious disease, diabetes, chronic gastritis, IBS and critical care.

There are other doctors also in Okhla who are coming forward to provide all help to Covid patients at time of crisis when the second wave has wreaked havoc with several deaths and large number of people testing Covid positive.

Delhi Health Bulletin April 30, 2021: Delhi recorded 375 Covid-19 deaths and 27,047 new cases of the infection on Friday with a positivity rate of 32.69 per cent, according to the latest bulletin issued by the city health department. Tests conducted 82,745 and recovery/discharged/migrated 25,283, it said.
