He along with his family tested positive for the virus even though they had been taking all the precautions. While they decided to quarantine at home, when his parents’ CT scan and blood report didn’t seem to be good, doctors suggested that they should be hospitalised.

But Asghar, 27, said he was not deterred and kept helping people who were in need and hoped that his good deeds would bear fruit and his family would be out of the ordeal soon. And that’s what happened. After 11 days of being admitted in Ganga Ram hospital, his parents were discharged. “I am thankful to God and people who prayed for my family in such difficult times…Allah bestowed his blessings on Eid and helped my family fight against Covid,” said Asghar.

He said his faith in God and trust in the doctor saw him through the difficult situation.

After going through the virus himself and experiencing the plight of children whose parents are infected, he said he was even more determined to help others.

Associated with Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson and DJB, Vice Chairman Raghav Chadha, Zaidi works involved handling public grievances and while most people stayed indoors amid the pandemic, the nature of his work made it necessary for him to step out and help people.
