Another ‘achievement’ by Al-Shifa doctors

Days after a complex surgery of 1 hour 30 minutes held at Al Shifa Hospital in Okhla, the hospital said its doctors under the leadership of Dr Mukesh have again succeeded in removing 9x 8.5 x 10 cm large ovarian cyst adherent to left side of large intestine form a 45-year-old female patient.

In February 28 report, the OT had reported that how Dr Eram Khan had removed a 27 cm long ovarian cyst, weighing 2.25 kg, from a 19-year-old girl who is a resident of Okhla.

In this latest operation done by Dr Mukesh, according to hospital representative, 45-year-old female patient had come to Al Shifa with complaints of right hypochondriac pain, fever associated with nausea and vomiting.

“She was admitted. After which MRCP and MRI pelvis was done. Then the doctor found her suffering from choledo cholithiasis with empyema gall bladder. After test, 9x 8.5 x 10 cm large complex ovarian cyst adherent to left side of large intestine was found. On March 10, the doctor performed ERCP+stenting. After her condition stabilised, laparoscopic cholecystectomy and laparoscopic complex ovarian cystectomy were done, said the hospital representative.
