This act from Tikona Park AC compressor blast spot is talk of Okhla

In Jamia Nagar the one topic which is being talked about these days is the AC compressor blast incident at Tikona Park’s eatery in which one person, Nadeem, succumbed to his injuries in the hospital and a few getting treatment. Whether at tea shops or barber shop or street corner residents are talking how the tragedy could be avoided. Besides, some residents or eyewitnesses pointed out that on Thursday when the blast took place many people who were present at the spot preferred catching tragedy in mobilephones to rescuing injured during the incident.

Elderly and youngsters outside Nadeem’s house at Okhla Head were talking that how only a few youngsters were there giving a helping hand to the injured, rushing them to hospital. In a video of the incident too on a close look one can see that a few people were just standing and grabbing videos of the event or doing live on other social media platform, said one resident. Had more help arrived and more people who were involved in taking videos with their smartphones rushed to provide help the injured could have been rushed to hospital early, said another resident.

Sikandar Choudhury in a video interview with the OT raised the issue of shutterbug vultures. He said when the incident happened there were many standing on the street and taking videos rather rushing to help the injured. Thanks to a few youngsters who picked up the injured and took them to Holy Family Hospital before the authorities landed on the spot.
