SDMC holds events to mark 100 crore jab milestone

To mark success of 100 crore vaccination in the country, South Delhi Municipal Corporation today organised mega events in all four zones. Mayor Mukesh Suryan and Standing Committee Chairman Col B K Oberoi celebrated the occasion of successful completion of 100 crore vaccination by awarding Health Care Staff at a Covid Vaccination Centre in Tilak Nagar Colony Hospital. They also cut the cake to celebrate the occasion.

On the occasion, Suryan said under the effective leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has created history in world’s largest vaccination drive as it has crossed the figure of 100 crore.

He said contributing in this largest vaccination drive, the SDMC has also administered more than 13 lakh vaccine doses to the people. Oberoi said people are being vaccinated successfully at all 48 vaccination centres run by the SDMC.

All necessary arrangements have been made and vaccination is being done under supervision of SDMC doctors and other Health Care staff, he said.

On the occasion Additional Commissioner Randhir Sahay & other senior SDMC officials were present.

Deputy Mayor Pawan Sharma and Chairman of Najafgarh Zone Satpal Malik participated in an event organised at Ghumanhera Polyclinic and encouraged Health Care Staffs deputed there. Sharma also took the second dose of vaccine and he congratulated people of the country for successfully completing 100 crore vaccination.

Leader of House Indrajeet Sehrawat and Chairman of South Zone Subhash Bhadana, on the occasion, inspected Covid Vaccination Centre at Maternity & Child Welfare Centre in Okhla and took stock of arrangements relating to vaccination.

They also encouraged Health Care staff at the centre.

Leader of House Indrajeet Sehrawat, on the occasion, said that the Government led has made tremendous efforts in fight against Covid-19. The Prime Minister’s effective leadership, emergency use of Covid vaccines was given so vaccines could be made available for people of the country.

Deputy Chairman of Standing Committee Poonam Bhati and Chairman of Central Zone Rajpal today participated in an event at SDMC-run Covid Vaccination Centre at Kalkaji Colony Hospital. They also awarded Health Care staff and praised them for their efforts in fight against Covid-19.
