Leader who contested MCD poll 2017 from Zakir Nagar ward passes away

A leader who had contested MCD poll 2017 from Zakir Nagar passed away today, according to reliable sources.

Faraz Khan told the OT that Sarfaraz, 42, died today and his family members have gone to the hospital to get his body for tadfeen. The death was due to heart attack, said Khan, adding that more information is awaited from his family members. Sarfaraz had contested on SP ticket unsuccessfully from the ward which was won by Shoaib Danish of the Congress.

After losing the election, he had joined the BJP, said Khan.
