Watch: Okhla youths kick-start winter relief drive
As winter knocks at our doors in Okhla, some youths have come forward to spread warmth this winter. In an event held at Abul Fazal Enclave RWA office today, blankets were distributed to the needy person so that they get ready to face chilly winter.
The Society of Bright Future rolled out its winter relief programme.
“Impoverished residents were given blankets and quilts to survive winter. The SBF divisions all over India have successfully distributed as much as 1.80 lakh blankets and quilts in the last 10 years (2011-2021),” said a statement issued by the SBF.
A total of 100 blankets were distributed today it said.
Many guests, including the president of Himalaya Drugs, Dr Syed Farooq, Dr S Ameenul Hasan, Shafi Madani, Treasurer, SBF were present as chief guests, said the youth body.
SBF India also plans to organise a similar programme in Ahmedabad, Gujarat on November 28, it said.
