Later in the night, another Okhla resident informed the OT that there was a huge jam in Shaheen Bagh. After the portal posted his shared photo on its social media platform, a resident Md Danish wrote: “The jam is result of breakdown of a bus in Okhla Vihar. It is yet to be removed.”

From time to time residents have demanded end to roadside encroachment and illegal parking of cars. Also, they want the authorities to put traffic signals in the area with traffic police manning the posts so that traffic snarls can be minimised.

Residents lamented that at times it is normal to see people parking their bikes or cars blocking the road to purchase medicines or biryani or any other items least bothered about the problem being caused to others.
