Must read traffic advisory for Jamia Nagar residents
If you reside in Jamia Nagar and this Sunday, most probably a holiday for most of the office goers, then this traffic advisory is must read for you. Following Muharram procession in the locality today there is going to be restrictions on several local routes beginning 5 pm till 7 pm, according to Muharram procession committee in Okhla.
The routes which will be impacted include Okhla Vihar to Jamia Metro Station to Jamia Nagar Bus Stand to Batla House to Jogabai Extension. According to the procession committee member, these routes will be hit and hence it is important that residents if have any plan to visit these places today from 5 pm to 7 pm then should change their plans.
The Muharram procession in Okhla is huge with large number of people taking part with the procession starting from Ghaffar Manzil and marching to other localities and then ending at Jogabahi Extension.
The procession is going to be the first one in two years following Covid induced restrictions.
Blood donation camp is going to be organised at Noor Nagar, said one resident, who is part of the committee. Security in the locality too is stepped up.
