Talib was beaten mercilessly over a fight and he was rushed to hospital on Friday night after the incident and he succumbed to his injuries in the hospital, she said. Other family members and neighbours who were there also talked about the incident and one even was caring his last photo of the hospital.

Zakir Nagar Councillors Shoaib Danish, a Congress leader, also turned up at the police station and interacted with the family members and assured them that he will support them until and unless the killer of Talib is not punished.

FIR has been registered in the case and one person has been arrested. The probe is on.

Councillor Danish termed the event as a tragedy for the family and the locality and said he was beaten mercilessly by a local person, who is into building work. Former Okhla Congress MLA Asif Md Khan, who also turned up at the spot, said the family is poor and Talib’s father is a labour and he should be supported at the time of crisis.
