    Swachhta rally flagged off, painting, exhibition held

    Swachhta rally flagged off, painting, exhibition held

    In view of Swachhta Survekshan-2021, SDMC today organised a mega programme on sanitation at Zonal Office in Najafgarh Zone.

    On the occasion, Standing Committee Chairman Rajdutt Gahlot, chairperson of Najafgarh Zone Suman Dagar and Additional Commissioner Randhir Sahay distributed awards to the winners of Short Movie Competition and Safai Sainiks for their special contribution in Swachhta Survekshan.

    To aware people about sanitation and cleanliness, a Swachhta Rally was also flagged off. Rajdutt Gahlot said that several measures have been taken to improve ranking in Swachhta Survekshan-2021. During the programme, a short movie, which bagged first award, was played.

    He said the short movie will be played on SDMC website and various social media platforms. Deputy Chairperson of Najafgarh Zone Sushma, Chairperson of DEMS Committee Sh. Indrajeet Sehrawat, councillors and senior SDMC officials were also present on the occasion.

    Suman Dagar said the Najafgarh Zone has ensured participation of SDMC school children in Swachhta Survekshan this time and an online painting competition has also been organised.

    A booklet made by compiling beautiful paintings made by children participating in the competition was also launched during the programme. She said an exhibition was also organised in which useful items beautifully made with plastic and waste materials were exhibited.

    Additional Commissioner Randhir Sahay said the SDMC has been organising various cleanliness and awareness related programmes in all four zones so the Civic Agency could improve its Swachta ranking.

    SDMC believes that the active participation of people will be ensured through such programmes and people will know the importance of Swachhta Survekshan.

    Deputy Commissioner Radha Krishan said the Najafgarh Zone is making all efforts to improve its ranking in Swachhta Survekshan-2021.

    He said to dispose of garbage properly, initiatives like Garbage Cafe-Plastic Lao Khana Khao, Khilona Bank, Plastic Lao Paudha Le Jao have been started. Najafgarh Zone has been organising series of competitions to aware people about cleanliness. Special sanitation drives are being carried out in the entire Najafgarh Zone and focus is being given to clean public places, markets, school premises, open areas etc.
