Smartphones worth Rs 15 lakh stolen from Zakir Nagar shop
Thieves broke into a mobile showroom at Zakir Nagar and decamped with mobile phones worth lakhs of rupees. They took away more than 50 phones worth Rs 15 lakh, said shop owner Shahid, who gave only one name.
He said the thieves entered into the shop by lifting the shutter at 4 am and stole phones for thirty mintues and then left the area, said the shop owner adding that the theft has been captured in the CCTV.
He said one of the accused was sleeping outside the shop for the last few days.
He said he was on his way to get a FIR filed so that the accused are arrested and his stolen phones are recovered.
After coming to know about the incident, many residents expressed their shock over the development. Shahid’s many friends and well-wishers turned up to be on his side.
The shop owner came to know about the incident when he turned up to his shop early morning to open it. He got alarmed after seeing the shutter narrowly opened.
The activities have been recorded in the closed circuit cameras put outside the shop.
