Ranjit has pneumonia also, said the source.

Ranjit is a known face in Okhla and across the country as he has been at the forefront of local movement for closure of Okhla Waste to Energy plant from residential area of Okhla.

A large number of Covid patients are recovering.

Delhi reported 25,986 cases on Wednesday. While addressing the media today, Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said: “With the positivity rate dropping down to 31.76 per cent, Delhi reported 25,986 cases yesterday. The numbers have been constantly breaching the 20,000 mark for the past 10-12 days. However, the fact that the positivity rate has been declining is a certain ray of hope for us. The highest was recorded at nearly 35 per cent about 4 days back. We thought that this might go beyond 40 and 45 per cent. But, it has halted at 35 per cent, and is even dropping down, like for yesterday when it was 31.76 per cent.”

While presenting a graph that demonstrated the 10-day average and daily positivity, Jain stated that the 10-day average has been decreasing significantly in the past couple of days.
