Delhi’s air turns toxic, pollution level in Okhla above hazardous mark

Residents in Okhla woke up to a hazy morning. And after checking news, it was known that the air quality of the national Capital crossed the “hazardous” mark on Diwali evening and the morning. The PM2.5 pollution levels shooting to 774.69 at 3am on Friday, according to TOI.
The pollution levels recorded at Nehru Stadium (1103), Okhla (1100) and ITO (948), having some of the worst PM2.5 levels.

The impact of the polluted air could be felt with some residents complaining about itchy throat and watery eyes.

“Relief is expected only from the evening of November 7 but AQI will fluctuate within ‘very poor’ range,” the air quality forecast agency had said.
