Watch: Solar streetlight on Abul Fazal Enclave road falls, here is eyewitness account
A solar streetlight on Abul Fazal Enclave road, in front of Okhla Vihar Metro Station, which has been tilting since Monday and the OT had posted about it, falls down a few minutes ago, said a resident.
Faiz Ilahi, an eyewitness to the incident, said he was lucky as the pole fell on the road. People were lucky as nobody got hurt, said Ilahi, who was returning from Shaheen Bagh to his house in Zakir Nagar. He said the local Councillor was informed about the incident.
He said it was scary moment and he, like many other commuters, was lucky that the pole didn’t fall on them. The poles were only put a few months ago to light up the dark stretch.
It is not for the first time that the pole has fallen as earlier too one pole had fallen in front of Milli Model School, said residents. What is surprising is that no precautionary measures were taken since Monday when the pole was tilted.
