Boy falls down from building in Shaheen Bagh while flying kite, dies

In a shocking incident, a boy fell to death from a fifth-floor under constructed building in Shaheen Bagh and died a few hours ago on August 15, according to Parvez Alam Khan.

Parvez told the OT that the boy was 10 year old and had gone to fly kites to a nearby building very close to his house and don’t know how he fell down from the building on the ground and died on the spot. Parvez said his father is into manpower business. The man has three sons, including the one, who died in freak incident.

He was rushed to a local hospital but could not be revived.

It is yet not known whether he lost control of himself while chasing the kite or just fell down from the building while flying kites, said residents aware of the development.

On Independence Day many people fly kites and in Okhla too the sky is filled with kites on this day. Many small children were seen on the road in Okhla today chasing and running to lay their hands on kites, said residents. The development has left residents in deep shock as it has been reported just a day after killing of Jamia Millia Islamia alumnus and Okhla resident Wasif Sattar Ghazi who was laid to rest after Isha prayer in Batla House graveyard on August 15. Ghazi was shot dead by miscreants and investigation is on to catch the culprits who had attacked him in Noor Nagar on August 14, said Okhla watchers.
