    Girls outshine boys in Jamia Schools Class 12, results out

    Girls outperformed boys in the Jamia Schools Class 12 board examinations for the academic year 2024-25, results of which were announced on Wednesday by the Office of the Controller of Examinations (CoE), Jamia Millia Islamia.

    A girl student has topped the Arts stream and the second and third ranks in the Commerce stream have also been bagged by girls. Similarly, the second topper in the Science stream is a girl.

    Jamia Schools Class 12 results: Here are the toppers

    A total of 905 students appeared for the Class 12 examinations this year with the following stream-wise break-up: Arts Stream: 263 students (Male: 92, Female: 171); Commerce Stream: 184 students (Male: 104, Female: 80), and Science Stream: 458 students (Male: 197, Female: 261), claimed the university.

    Pallavi Guria secured the top position in the Arts Stream with 97.4 per cent, while Saiman Zehra Zaidi attained the second rank with 97 per cent, and Shahid Ridad Hassan stood at third with 96.8 per cent.

    In the Commerce Stream, Farhan Rashique topped the list with 95.8 per cent, followed by Mariyam, who secured 95.6 per cent, and Maria Kamal, who stood third with 95.2 per cent. In Science stream, Mohd. Yasir and Sanaullah tied at the first rank with 97.2 per cent, Aliya Bi was ranked second with 96.8 per cent and Anis Kausar stood third with 96.4 per cent.

    “Jamia students can now view and access their results on the official examination portal of Jamia at: http://jmiregular.ucanapply.com/examinationsystemjmi/schoolresult.php,” said the university.

    VC Asif releases Jamia Schools Class 12 results

    Jamia Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Prof Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi, Registrar, formally released the result this afternoon. Prof Asif and Prof Rizvi extended their congratulations to all the students who appeared for and cleared the Class XII exams conducted by Jamia schools.

    Prof Asif said: “The hard work, determination, and perseverance of all the students and their parents are evident from their outstanding performance in all three streams. It is especially heartening to note that a girl student has topped the Arts stream and the second and third ranks in the Commerce stream have also been bagged by our girls. Similarly, the second topper in the Science stream is a girl.”

    Prof. Rizvi said: “The credit for the good results this year goes to the consistent efforts made by the teachers of the Jamia schools, who have worked throughout the year to ensure that our students excel in all three streams and are made fit to enter the universities with confidence and a competitive edge. The Office of the CoE, JMI, too has worked tirelessly to ensure that the whole process, from conducting the examination to the declaration of the results, is done in a timely and smooth manner.”

    Teachers, officials efforts praised

    Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Controller of Examinations, extended his sincere appreciation to Prof. Mazhar Asif, Vice Chancellor and Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi, Registrar, Jamia for their invaluable guidance and continuous support, which played a key role in the seamless conduct of the examinations and timely declaration of the results. Prof. Sharma also acknowledged the dedicated efforts of Dr. Ahteshamul Haque, Deputy Controller of Examinations, Dr. Sunil, Assistant Controller of Examinations, and the entire team of the Controller of Examinations office for their commitment and hard work in ensuring the prompt release of results.

    “The timely announcement of these results is a testament to the dedication, efficiency, and teamwork of our staff. We remain steadfast in our commitment to transparency and maintaining the highest standards of excellence in all examination-related processes,” stated Prof. Sharma.
