AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia is Asia’s premier institute for journalism and mass communication students. Since its inception in 1982, the Centre has been driven by the spirit of intellectual discourse and practical training by offering students a myriad of opportunities to step beyond the conventional.

The MA Convergent Journalism programme, initiated in 2007, at AJK MCRC is a comprehensive course designed to train aspiring journalists to navigate India’s evolving media landscape. The programme trains students in multiple modalities of production and distribution and prepares them for a complex, convergent, and fluid media environment. Students receive cross-platform training in print, radio, video, and digital media techniques.

In the past, AINAA has hosted eminent personalities spanning across the media and film industry. Over the years, the festival has grown into a significant platform for dialogue between students and media professionals. It offers an opportunity to engage with pressing questions about journalism, newsroom ethics, digital transitions, and the challenges of reporting in contemporary India.
