    Jamia V-C Najama condoles death of 11 staff, some die of Covid-19

    Prof Najma Akhtar, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Millia Islamia, offered heartfelt condolences for the irreparable loss to the families of the following Jamia staffers who recently left for their heavenly abodes, said a statement issued by the university:

    1. Prof. Mohammad Rafat, D/o Applied Sciences
    2. Prof. Mohammad Zahid, D/o Physics
    3. Dr. S.M. Muzammil, University Polytechnic
    4. Prof. K Savitri D/o- Political Science
    5. Dr. Shahzad Husain, SRC
    6. Tanvir Samdani, Assistant Registrar, F/o Architecture

    7     Shahnaz Bano, Office Assistant, Finance Officer

    1. Abul Kalam, Security Assistant, Proctor Office
    2. Dr. Safiullah Khan, Asst.Librarian, AIS
    3. Shamsuddin Khan, MTS, Office of the Media Coordinator
    4. Ashok, Sanitation worker

    “Grant them exalted ranks and stations in Heaven! The entire Jamia Biradri joined the Vice Chancellor in offering condolences to the near and dear ones of the deceased,” said the V-C.

    One more Professor Shafeeque Ahmed Ansari passed away today at 1:30 pm, according to university top official. A school teacher Dr Amanullah Fahad died a day ago after testing Covid positive a few days ago.
