Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan was also present on the site.

“Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia reached Okhla to review work for building 330-bed hospital. Very soon a new hospital for the Okhla residents will come up,” tweeted Khan.

It was on September 1, 2021 when media had reported quoting then Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain saying the city government is going to build seven new hospitals in the Capital in six months using precast building technique.

“All the seven new hospitals will be built with precast building materials. Such building materials are strong and save a lot of time. All steel structures will be manufactured in the factories and will be brought to the construction site for assembling, just like precast concrete material, and will be completely modular. This will increase the pace of construction. Thereby, finishing the work on time,” said Jain.

A new government hospital in Okhla has been welcomed by residents who still lamented that the locality keeping in mind its population needs more such government hospitals where people get treatment.

There are several private hospitals and the coming up of this hospital in Sarita Vihar is a good development but the area needs more such hospitals, said a resident.
