Gambling racket busted in Jamia Nagar, staked money seized

A mastermind of gambling racket has been arrested with the recovery of mobile phone and stake money used in the gambling, according to Jamia Nagar police.
On February 3 a police team was on patrolling duty where they met an informer who informed them about running of a gambling racket at Joga Bai Extension. The patrolling staff at once approached to the spot and apprehended one person. …On his cursory search, gambling slips, one mobile phone and stake money Rs 20,000 was recovered from the possession of the accused person. Accordingly, a case has been registered at PS Jamia Nagar. With the arrest of the accused … one mobile phone, gambling slips and stake money have been seized,” said police.
The accused told police that earlier he used to run an e-rickshaw garage to earn his living but he could not earn enough to meet his requirements so in order to earn quick money, he started to gamble and hold stakes for others.
