    Feeding the needy this Ramzan 2022! Come Ramzan like every year there are many activists and organisations which try their level best to serve the needy with food and other help so that they could not faced scarcity of food during iftar and suhoor. Of them, activist Mohammad Anas Rafique has been at the forefront of giving succor to the needy throughout the need.

    By second jumah of Ramadan, we have completed ration distribution to 160 needy families in Shram Vihar, Kanchan Kunj, he told the OT.

    “We continue to give ration kits with basic food essentials, so that more people can have food in their homes in this blessed month,” said Anas, who runs Guncha Foundation. A Jamia Millia Islamia alumnus and resident of Okhla, Anas has been serving the needy from time to time. He said how during the lockdown period his NGO was helping the needy by providing families with fresh home-made food. He said he used to served free food to many daily wagers who had gone jobless due to Covid-induced lockdown in the city and across the country.

    Anas said his team’s effort is to provide free food the needy of the locality throughout Ramzan.
