    Dengue awareness campaign organised

    Dengue awareness campaign organised

    With an aim to make people aware of vector-borne diseases on the occasion of World Health Day, South Delhi Municipal Corporation on Thursday organised Dengue Awareness Campaign.

    This year World Health Day 2022 is being celebrated on theme “Our Planet, Our Health”. Awareness programmes were organised at Guru Givind Singh Indraprastha (GGSIP) University and mosquito models and live mosquito larvae were displayed in exhibition at Airforce Bal Bharti school, Lodhi Road.

    Beside this, school rallies and Community outreach programme were organised in all wards of SDMC.

    Meanwhile, the SDMC organised Women’s Medical Camp in R K Puram and sugar, BP, eyes, teeth, lungs & TB tests were done in the camp.

    A Women’s Medical Camp was organised by member Standing Committee and local area councillor Tulsi Joshi in R K Puram Sector-6. In the camp, sugar, BP, eyes, teeth, lungs & TB tests were done and free distribution of sanitary napkins also took place. On the occasion, Delhi BJP president Adesh Gupta, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Bidhuri and other leaders were present.

    Gupta praised the efforts made by member Standing Committee and local area councillor Tulsi Joshi for her role in organising the Women Medical Camp. Bidhuri expressed his happiness for organising the Women Health Check-up Camp on the occasion of World Health Day.
