    Jamia team wins national debate competition 2023

    JMI team wins National Debate Competition 2023 organized by Rajdhani College, DU

    It is a matter of great pride for the Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) that BOL- The Debating Society of the university team represented by Sudeep Krishna, BA.LLB, Faculty of Law and Priyanshu Chauhan, MA Human Rights, Department of Political Science secured the top position in Vichar Manthan 5.0, a National Debate Competition 2023 organized by Rajdhani College, Delhi University(DU). The team ended up being the Best Team of the competition and also won the prestigious Rolling Trophy. JMI retained the Rolling Trophy for the third time. The Debate Competition was held on the topic “Participatory Democracy is a better form of Democracy than Representative Democracy”.

    Universities from across the country participated in this debate competition. The competition was attended by Mr Abhay Kumar who is currently serving as the Deputy Director General of Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) and is a Former Ambassador to Madagascar and Comoros.
