“With the help of the Aster Volunteers, the global CSR arm of Aster DM Healthcare and Alshifa Hospital, Okhla, , we are converting The Scholar School located in South Delhi to a large 50 bed field hospital. This hospital will be equipped with: Oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators, BIPAP machines, high flow oxygen therapy units and ECG machines etc.

“The field hospital needs about INR 3 crore (USD 400k / EUR 350k /GBP 300k) to run at full steam over the next two-three months. Aster Volunteers has kindly already supported some of these funds. The concentrators being imported into India will also be partially stationed at this field hospital,” said the post on Milap.

According to local sources, preparations are in full swing. The OT had reported a few days ago how Al Shifa and Aster had tied up for setting up 50 bed Covid field hospital in AFE after beds were full in the hospital.
